The Photographers

Shawn Gilhespy

I picked up my first camera when I was just 10 years old. My love of photography soon evoked into an obsession. Not a day went by that I didn’t take one photo. As soon as I graduated from high school, I dove into my career as a photographer and started Metabolic Photography. Since then, I’ve taken photographic technology at NAIT and will graduate in the spring of 2011.

I picked my first camera at a fairly young age. Although film photography was dominating the market then, I’ve been able to jump into the digital world and continue my love for photography. When I’m not photographing weddings and portraits, you can usually find me creating landscapes in High Dynamic Range, also known as “HDR’s” and Historical Documentaries.   I have several of my works published and displayed with Alberta Historical Societies.
