Bringing in the New Year

Bringing in the New Year

So I think it’s safe to say that I am a little late hopping on this one… Erm.   Happy New Year!

We’ve been getting tonnes of calls from clients lately and couldn’t be happier! Also, a friend of mine (Megan Brown) is starting up a fashion/multimedia blog and asked me to take some fashion shots to get it started! Keep updated for those photos! Just gotta throw them in Photoshop for some post-processing!

In other news, Fred and I went on an amazing Snowboard/Ski trip to Marmot Basin in Jasper, AB. The pow-pow (powder) was amazing! Not to mention the new high speed lift: bottom to top in just 7 minutes! We woke up bright and early for an exciting (sarcasm) 3 and a half hour ride from Edmonton so we could make it for the open time. Unfortunately, line-ups were completely ridiculous, so while I stood in line for Lift Tickets, Fred went to get his ski rentals. I keep telling him to buy his own though! The hill was busy, and we were afraid that we might have to wait for an extensive amount of time before getting on any lift. Surprisingly, the new lift was so fast that it was able to quickly disperse everyone about the hill so there were never any huge line-ups!

I hope everyone has had a chance to bring in the New Year with a fresh start, and that you all have had a great first month!

Cheers!

Kenzie’s Photoshoot: Another Huge Successs!

Kenzie’s Photoshoot: Another Huge Successs!

Today I had a photoshoot with one of my old friends, Kenzie, for one of my school projects with black and white filters. The objective of the assignment was to photograph a subject with red green and blue on it, and then to use certain color filters to decrease or increase the tonal value of either the red, green, or blue on the subject.

Well, we went a bit overboard and decided that since the make-up took 3 hours to do by our lovely make-up artist, Claire Noren, we thought why not make this into a digital photoshoot after I had used all my film!

I just want to personally thank Claire Noren for her awesome make-uping skills and focused work, and Kenzie Bunting for her awesome modeling, patience, and cooperation for this shoot! You guys rock!
